Large Ontario LDC formed from PowerStream, Enersource, Horizon, and Hydro One Brampton. Serves much of the GTA outside Toronto.
Alectra Utilities is the second-largest electricity distribution utility in Ontario, formed in 2017 from the merger of PowerStream, Enersource, Horizon Utilities, and Hydro One Brampton. Serves Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Hamilton, St. Catharines, and surrounding communities. Distribution rates set by the OEB. Participates in Save on Energy program delivery for its territory and runs some additional rebate programs funded through ratepayer surplus.
