Mitsubishi Electric: Japanese OEM dominant in cold-climate ductless mini-splits. Hyper Heat (H2i) is their cold-climate technology rated for -25C operation.

Mitsubishi Electric is the leading OEM for cold-climate ductless heat pumps in Canada. Their Hyper Heat (H2i) line is rated to deliver 100% of nameplate heating capacity at -15C and continues operating to -25C, making it suitable as a primary Ontario heat source. The MSZ-FS and MSZ-LN wall-mount heads are the most common Ontario residential models. Mitsubishi also sells centrally-ducted units (PVA, PEAD) for whole-home applications. Higher install pricing than Daikin or LG but the longest cold-climate track record.
