Home Renovation Savings: the current Save on Energy rebate program covering insulation, sealing, windows, heat pumps, HPWH, and smart thermostats.

HRS (Home Renovation Savings) is the active 2025-2026 Save on Energy rebate program. Maximum stack of rebates exceeds $7,500 per home. Heat pump rebates are tied to qualifying ENERGY STAR Cold Climate units. Water heater rebates target heat pump water heaters specifically. Insulation and air sealing rebates require pre and post blower door tests. The application is filed by the homeowner after a Registered Energy Advisor completes the EnerGuide evaluation and the contractor does the work. Reimbursement typically 6-12 weeks after submission.
