Daikin is the world's largest HVAC manufacturer by revenue and now owns Goodman in North America. Their cold-climate ductless line (Aurora) competes directly with Mitsubishi Hyper Heat at typically 10-15% lower installed pricing. The Daikin Fit and One+ are slim-cabinet centrally-ducted heat pumps designed for retrofit installations. Daikin parts and dealer network expanded substantially in Ontario between 2020-2025; pricing and availability are now competitive with the legacy brands.
